Great concepts and brands do not happen by accident. They are crafted, planned and structured to appeal and build loyalty. They are designed.

Working as a design and brand adviser for clients, Andy manages Griib Design and offers fresh and original strategic design solutions, combining analytical skills of management science with the creativity of design & branding strategy.

With a studio near Norwich and a briefing office in Essex, Andy works with companies who want to improve organisational performance in an ethical manner.

He introduces new thinking and redefines traditional boundaries using design and brand management. This is supported by colleagues with expertise in different disciplines.

Andy has a flair for highlighting and expressing company strengths, planning new horizons, implementing transition points between brand essence, strategy and expression to engage and appeal to customers.

Andy started his career as a finished artist in the 80’s with an apprenticeship in print, then worked with ad agencies and studios on brands including Nissan, Citroen, Marks & Spencer, Harley Davidson and Disney. He managed the studio for a WPP group company before working freelance for London design agencies who included M&C Saachi.

Andy received corporate identity commissions organisations that wanted to understand their own brand as a business tool... and discover how design thinking could contribute to bottom line performance. This led to the Griib Design studio being created in 1997.

The Design Council asked Andy to participate in 'Designer into Schools week’ between 2002-2004. The initiative, for Design & Technology teachers and their students, raised awareness of design and helped young people explore their creative skills.

With over 19 yrs hands-on experience, Andy chose to apply his practical knowledge and develop theoretical models and frameworks at Master’s level in 2003, resulting with a distinction for design and branding strategy at Brunel University.

An international rebrand award for design effectiveness followed in 2005 after working with a client who wanted to diversify their business.

A member of the international Design Management Institute, a Chartered Designer registered in London and committed to ACID (Anti-Copying in Design). Andy delivers the highest standards of design and project management.
