Are we making our lives too complicated?
Innovation profiles
suggest more products are being launched than can be used, with
packaging fighting for mind space and
consumer recognition – is it necessary?
High change organisations
introduce incremental product changes leaving consumers feeling
cheated as their goods are out of date
after three months. Product design and innovation for the sake
of it is destroying consumer trust.
Brands will suffer unless
more thoughtful innovation and design methods are adopted to
give real consumer benefits and positive
lifestyle experiences.
What if the high-tech companies focussed on improving our lives
by easier to use products with better or even some customer support?
Or why not just focus on customer support? Could our lives be
less stressful? Good design is about improving quality of life,
be it clearer communication that allows easier understanding or
improved services to respond to users needs.
Sometimes, it’s
the simple changes that give the biggest results.
